I discovered a pretty nifty trick the other day while working zoomed in on a huge image file. So when you navigate around an image in Photoshop you hold down space and then click and drag. This is fine if you are just working in a small area and don’t need to see the whole picture.

So while working on a huge image I was often scrolling around the image a lot using the space key and click and drag and repeat. Until I discovered a nifty little tip that Photoshop has. If you hold down space + c and click and drag a small box will pop up (see above image) and you will zoom out and the box will follow them mouse, then when you release the mouse it will zoom into where the box is now placed at the same zoom level as before. Get it? Well there’s a short video (go full screen on it) that I made that you can checkout below. It starts off with the normal zoom and then shows you the space + c zoom.

I signed up for Relay for Life because I have had friends and family affected by cancer and seen the toll that it can take on people as well as those who love them. I think that by working together and raising money for research we can help find a cure for cancer and rid the world of it.

The Relay For Life event is a really cool event that is held at a local college track. It is a 24 hour even that starts at 6 PM on Friday and goes to 6PM on Saturday. The different teams set up tents around the track and decorate their tent to the theme of the year. Then they sell things, sell food or have games kids can play and any money raised goes to their team total. There are constantly people walking around the track at all hours and there are different laps, like men dressing up as a woman and a survivors lap, a team lap, ect. It’s a really great fun event where people who never met come together for a good cause.
